Google Analytics, Tag Manager and AdWords

Within OnlineAfspraken.nl it is possible to link the booking module to Analytics, Tag Manager and / or Adwords. With these options you can easily gain insight into the traffic within the booking module and see where the involvement and conversion is good or bad. In this way you can determine where your services should / should not be offered and perhaps at what price based on data. In addition, you can see in which steps customers drop out, so that you can improve these pages. On this page we describe what the options do and how to enable them.

What do the options do?

  • Analytics: for Analytics (UA), user data is kept, so you can check how customers behave (e.g. how many people approach the booking module, how much time they spend, the bounce rate, etc.) but also, for example, demographic data (e.g. gender, age and location).
  • Tag Manager: with Google Tag Manager (GTM) only the script is loaded and you then have to indicate in your Google environment what you want to measure and which tools you want to link this to (see a manual here). This way you can gain insight into, for example, specific actions such as clicks, scrolling activity, but also the source and medium from which (converting or leaving) customers come.
  • Adwords: for AdWords (AW) we have explicit endpoints in our code. If an AW code is present, for some views in the widget an explicit intent is fed back to AW, such as “offer detail” (on the shop page), “conversionintent” (on the shopping cart and checkout pages) and “conversion” (on the thank you page).

How do I enable them?

You can easily enable the Google options by going to Settings > Inframe widgets > Configure. On this page you check the option 'Enable Google options' and then insert the key for the Google option you want to use. The keys are automatically added in the codes / links to be created, which means you have to put them on the website again if applicable. For the default inframe method, the code must be integrated via your own website. If you make use of a customer app it is sufficient to insert the key and save the profile (floppy icon at the top right).
